Dr. Abdulrahman Effendi, M.D., F.A.S.N., F.A.C.P.

About
Dr. Effendi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He has been a practicing physician in the Metro-Detroit area for over 30 years.
He is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (F.A.S.N) and American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P) as well as a member of the International Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, Renal Physician Association, American Medical Association and the Detroit Medical Academy. Previously served as Chief of Internal Medicine at St. John Macomb Hospital and Vice Chief of Internal Medicine.​

Life
His love for Nephrology started with personal experience. His late mother had been on dialysis which fueled his love and passion for care of kidney diseases and his need to help others.
Dr. Effendi is a loving husband and father of three, 2 boys, and 1 girl. He is a family guy and always says it is important to ‘Treat everyone like Family’. Dr. Effendi loves to do it all; from practicing French on the side, mentoring at OUWB - School of Medicine, traveling the world at any chance he gets, and staying active on Peloton, he is a go-getter. He also loves to grill in the summers and spend time with his family. On his off-time, he is a lover of sports and enjoys watching futbol and Detroit Sports.
